I have wanted a bunny for a very long time and have spent countless hours looking at baby bunny videos on YouTube and looking at the adoptable critters at the Arizona Humane Society, an organization which I absolutely love.

I finally saw a bunny named Einstein (I wrote a musical inspired by Albert Einstein) who was white with black spots and whose picture looked adorable; it was destiny. I called to ask about him and they recommended coming down to look.
Once I got there, another bunny caught my eye as I walked into the tiny critter room. He was mostly black and had itty-bitty ears!
It was really difficult for me to make a decision between Einstein and the new bunny I saw. On one hand, Einstein had been in the shelter since the beginning of June and was part of the Hopeful Heart Club, which reduced the adoption fee from $35 to $20 because no one was adopting him. On the other hand, I wanted to get a bunny that I knew I would be happy with. It's hard for me to be at the shelter because there are so many animals; I almost want to pick the worst off ones in case they never get adopted.
In the end I decided to go with my gut and get the bunny I really wanted. I bought "Shade" for $35 and bought the Rabbit Starter Kit in the shop at the AZHS Campus for Compassion store. Originally it would have been $55, but when you adopt you save 20% so it was only $44.
Bunny: $35
Bunny things: $44
Happiness from staring at my bunny hop around: Priceless.
